February the start of the new school year for E

I decided to make February the start of the new school year since I get evaluations done in January.

E will start the new year with All About Spelling (AAS 1) step 6 continued, All About Reading (AAR 2) lesson 2 continued, RightStart Mathematics level C (RGHT) lesson 44 continued, Essentials in Writing (EIW 4).

For Grammar we switched from First Language Lessons 3 to Essentials in Writing 4.

2/6/18.  E did AAS 1 step  6. Finished spelling on paper.  Missed 1 word (am).  We went slow and sounded out each word.  He did well. EIW4 lesson 1.  Need to work on some letters.  Did not receive a lot of hassle.  I have hopes for this program.

2/12/18.  E did AAS 1 Step 7. Review, practice, and spelling with tiles.  Did well with spelling with tiles. AAR 2 lesson 2 continued.  Finished the fluency sheet sentences.  Did okay--sounded out most words.  EIW4. Lesson 2 day 1.  Might need to review later on.

2/13/18.  E did AAS 1 step 7. Spell on paper.  E hesitated and was unsure but got them all right. RGHT lesson 44 worksheet used the abacus and paper money (cents).  RGHT lesson 2 day 2.  Went over what E wrote and he did well.  He worked very hard.  Need to work on handwriting..

2/14/18.  E did AAR 2 lesson 3.  Did well sound of y at the end of words.  RGHT lesson 45 $ and how to read  $.  Plus worked together on the worksheet.

2/18, 19, 20/18.  E did 3 lets go learn assessments.  Math, reading, and phonograms.  Need to work on some syllable division with phonograms.  Going to do a new approach for reading.  Doing okay in math and finally has addition down.  Needs to be written a certain way but he knows how to do it.

2/27/18.  AAS 1 combined spelling.  Spelled short a and short i words all correct.  Might try typing next time as he was not into writing as you will see. AAR 2 lesson 3 cont.  Activity sheet, green card and 2 leapwords you and your.

2/28/18.  EIW 4 lesson 3 day 1.  Went online as the disk did not work.
